AdultVideoArchives currently contains around 100 videos but no image galleries. The videos are available to download in WMV format or stream in a Flash Player format, usually displaying at a best of 1280x720 (6300kbps). There was no update information here.
Ahh, where to start with Adult Video Archives? Well, first up I would like to throw in a fair amount of praise for the actual content on the site, which is more often than not very sexy, well shot and well performed.
Some of it was very odd too, but in a good way. The mixture of action was also quite welcome and keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next. All the performers really seem to be genuinely in to each other as well, which helps. Some of the editing and cutting was very poor though.
But it does have its problems. Whilst there are some high definition videos available, it seems a completely arbitrary system with one video displaying at 1280x720 and the next at 320x240.
Also, I couldn’t quite fully be convinced exactly what the cost of the site is as you do get a different story depending on what you read. Plus, it’s not always a positive note for the content as several of the videos are really quite weak and do stick out somewhat. |

The navigation is far, far too sparse. It actually looks really good and the design is very atmospheric but there are hardly any features here, and there is no information on the tour page about what the site actually is.
There’s no update information at all, no video descriptions, and virtually no browsing options. You do get a small amount of technical information, but even this is relatively poor. They really do need to add a hell of a lot more to this site for it to work better. |

Rarely does a site swing quite as wildly from really positive to really negative in as short a space a time as Adult Video Archives does – one minute it’s high definition excellent hardcore action.
And then the next it’s low resolution and uninteresting ‘lesbian’ action. Plus, throw in an extraordinarily undetailed navigation and presentation system, and you are left with a cheap, occasionally excellent but always infuriating site. |
