User Interface
It’s pretty fair to say that the navigation, layout and presentation here didn’t have me falling in love with it. My laptop almost had a seizure loading up all the large thumbnails on the one very long index page – this needs to be split up, pronto.
The download speeds were incredibly slow – the videos were very high quality but the price for that are the slow speeds, not helped by single file downloads. The general information about the site was quite poor, but the advance notice of future updates was an impressive aspect.
Conclusion
Asian Apple Seed is a site that actually tries hard to make you not like it with a navigation that might infuriate you and an unnecessarily high collection of subscription fees. $40 per month? Come on, guys, there’s a worldwide recession!
I don’t think there’s any way that it’s worth that much, but if they knocked the prices down, the content here is unique enough and occasionally absolutely superb for this site to make a genuine impact.
