This site currently has over 2 million members on board. The amount of members online at one time varies depending on your time zone. Bear in mind that access to features on this site are dependent on which package you pick up.
Of course, the main problem with surfing a site like Adult Friend Finder is that it’s such a huge site and finding someone who has the same specific kinks as you is a hard job. BDSM obviously is a site that takes some of the difficulty out of it for you by being a specific site dedicated to BDSM and fetish in general. But it became immediately apparent that there were some issues to be tackled by this site as regards the amount of members it has.
There may very well be over 2 million members signed up, but there were only 6500+ online when I reviewed the site. Okay, that’s still a lot of people, but how many in your country that would have the same tastes as you? It’s a much smaller figure after those deductions. Plus. Browsing around a lot of the members, many of them don’t actually seem to have any fetish-based interests at all because basically anyone can join and not have to adhere to any criteria. It’s still potentially a great resource though.
User Interface
I think they try to hard to pack too much on too many pages and it can become slightly overwhelming browsing this site. They do try the best they can and the specific ’groups’ are a really good idea, I think, and allows for a more community based feeling.
But issues such as spam members and an occasionally slow navigation don’t help. Also, figuring out the pricing options is still way to complicated. Still, it is well designed and they do the best that they can, I think.
Conclusion
BDSM is a site that I think should offer more from its free memberships, so that you can see exactly what is on offer here. You could easily join this site and find nothing or no-one in your country that is of the slightest bit of interest to you, and paid nothing.
But that’s the risk you take in joining a site such as this and I think it is about the best of this type of site around. If you’re based in North America and western Europe especially, the site will maybe have a fair bit to offer you.
