Abby Winters Turns 7

No airbrushing, no make-up, just beauty.

The wonderful Abby Winters is today celebrating its 7th anniversary, and what a celebration it should be. The highest rated site in history, a pioneering company that has influenced dozens of sites, and a multi award-winner.

But has it had as much of an influence on the Australian market as it should have had? How many Australian adult sites can you name apart from Abby Winters? I can name one - the splendid Girls Out West.

I can't think of any more off the top of my head. It seems strange to me that in a country that is filled with stunningly beautiful women (this is the country that the likes of Holly Valance and Elle Macpherson amongst many others come from) that so few sites would have emerged since.

It's not the fault of Abby Winters, I must point out. The current Australian government is extremely conservative and is really clamping down on adult entertainment all over the nation. It's not a great time to be an Aussie porn star.

Nevertheless, you'd have thought plenty would have found their way around it. The site has actually had far more of an influence on sites from eastern Europe more than anywhere else, even if many of those sites are rather reliant on airbrushing and the suchlike.

The site deserves to celebrate though. Rarely has anything recieved such overwhelming and widespread praise as this site has over the years. Its success has been well earned and the praise similarly so. Happy birthday, Abby!
