Brickhouse Betty
Not modelled on Jenna Jameson at all. Ooh no.
In the West, we are complete crap at producing animated porn. Compared to our counterparts in Japan, our output is so inconsequential that is barely even warrants a footnote when you talk about animated porn as a whole.
I mean, there is plenty to enjoy about Brickhouse Betty. It's pretty funny and well animated, after all, and shows plenty of potential as animated adult content goes. But that it is regarded as perhaps the best American porn animation around right now really does show you a huge gap.
The problem is that in our parts of the world, we do have plenty of studios that produce and specialise in animation, but I can't really see Disney or Pixar wanting to produce something like Legend Of The Overfiend and Night Shift Nurses.
With no specialist studios or arms of studios specialising in this content, the gap between Japan and the West will always remain enormous. They pump out loads of these films per year over there - such production is nowhere near in terms of scale over here.
However, I'm convinced there is a market for expansion over here. Bearing in mind that the styles displayed in hentai and anime from Japan tend to be very similar in most of its films, the possibility of a departure would be a very welcome one.
But as things stand, productions like Brickhouse Betty are still going to regarded as poor relations to their Oriental counterparts for quite some time to come.
