Charity In Porn

You always hear of charity golf events. Here's how to brighten them up....
Whilst the idea of a 24 hour 'pornathon' can only be a good thing, it does make you wonder if this is an avenue that porn could pursue more in an attempt to soften its image and gain it more respect with society in general.
Case in point. There's a wrestling promotion called Combat Zone Wrestling. They put on ultra-violent events where wrestlers, amongst other things, throw each other through panes of glass and staple each other's tongues to their upper lip. Nice!
They started doing a charity event each year for a children's charity in the town where they host their most violent annual tournament. Suddenly, they wweren't such bad guys at all.
There are those who would say that it's a cynical ploy to gain favour, but there's no doubting that these guys are utterly sincere in their nature. And I just thing that porn could do a lot worse than to go a similar route.
Obviously, porn might not be a good medium through which to help children's charities, but I just think that, in particular, sexual health and sexuality-based charities would be ideal to be focused on. I think the industry could have a HUGE influence in these.
As long as they didn't approach it solely as a means as trying to look less morally dubious in the public's eyes and actually tried to make it look as though they cared and wanted to help, which I'm sure many participants would, it would do the industry absolutely no harm at all.
It certainly wouldn't harm the industry to look after its past stars too. Too many end up broke. It shouldn't be the case.
