Dare Ring

I dare you....to tell me what the hell is going on in this picture.

I was just thinking back to this weird site called DareRing that I reviewed a while back.

I'm the type of person that would, in some ways, rather see a completely original site with not much good content on it than see a really good formula site. I just like to see sites come up with new ideas and look like they're trying.

One could never accuse the makers of this site of being formulaic. After all, just how many sites out there are based around sexual versions of Truth Or Dare? Not many, I would wager.

But sometimes when sites come up with ideas like this, on paper it looks like a great idea but the reality can be a little bit more disappointing. Revisiting DareRing made me realise that this one of those cases.

The problem with it is that there is no doubt that it is altogether more interesting to take part in than to actually watch. It's just not quite as much fun watching Truth Or Dare over doing it. Some things make for a good spectator's sport. This isn't one.

Each to their own though, it is a very successful community and has lots of fans now, and they do perform to their members' wishes. I'd prefer to watch football though.
