Deep Throat To Be Shown On Dutch TV

This, and a lot more, coming soon to Dutch TV!
It's been interesting over the last few years to watch how mainstream television has become altogether more receptive to sexual content than it used to be. And now, it seems, it has take one further step up to hardcore pornography.
This story informs us that a Dutch TV station is set to defy calls by a political party to straight out ban the legendary movie Deep Throat, and broadcast it uncut in late February. Only in Holland can this type of thing happen!
If only more political figures had the attitude shown by Johan Remkes who quite rightly points out that if you don't want to see this type of thing on your television sets, then just go ahead and turn the bloody thing off. Good on you, Mr Remkes.
I'm just wondering if a TV station will take the plunge and do the same thing here in the United Kingdom. After all, stations have broadcast uncut versions of films such as Romance and The Beast, both of which I've written about in this blog.
I'm pretty sure it won't be long before we see it on our TV screens over here, although I doubt the same thing will happen in the US, unfortunately. Still, if it can happen in Holland, who knows what we may see next on TV stations over there?
It could be a while before we see any of the Giants Black Meat White Treat series on the old telly though!
