Delta Of Venus - Vintage Porn
Even the olden days liked to see a bit of pussy.
When you consider just how much must be in the archives out there of pornography from years gone by, it's actually amazing that there aren't more sites like Delta Of Venus around. Or is it? Depends on how you look at it really.
There is a huge amount of vintage porn stuff out there that is, presumably, just sitting and collecting dust, waiting for a site like Delta Of Venus or even Vintage Taboo to come along and pick them up and give them a whole new lease of life.
But this is a bit of a bugbear of mine. Whilst studios, historians and archivists will go out of their way to ensure that prints of almost every mainstream movie that's ever made are preserved forever, porn doesn't get treated in the same way at all.
And ultimately, it has to be partially the responsibility of the industry itself that sites such as Delta Of Venus are so few and far between. It simply does not use its older or classic material nearly well enough, nor does it respect it.
It's an industry that is so eager to move on to newer things, finding newer stars and creating newer products that it doesn't actually seem to care that much. Does your average new male pornstar care at all about, say, John Holmes? Probably not.
It's a great shame, really, that more figures of companies in the industry aren't more retrospective in terms of their outlook because I'm convinced there is a market for this type of thing, at least in people who are actually interested in porn as a whole and not just looking at porn.
Why does it just have to be about whether there is a 'market' though? Delta Of Venus shows a genuine respect and love for what has happened and been produced in the past - and a lot more people could do their bit and show the same.
