Girls Gone Wild Now Doing The Suing

The Girls Gone Wine. A caricature, presumably.
On more than one occasion on this blog, and indeed recently, I've reported about Girls Gone Wild being sued by somebody or other, or being at the centre of some controversy. Time to turn the tables!
The target of their ire is The Girls Gone Wine, presumably a humorous take on the now legendary porn label, who they've gotten a bit uppity with and basically told them to stop using their name or else.
I can sort of understand their point. And it must be nice for them to be the ones dishing out the lawsuit for a change and for them also to be the ones that are accusing someone else of doing something wrong!
But it does seem a bit childish of them to do this, I must say. After years of fighting off controversy and trying to show the world that they're not the end of civilisation as we know it, for them to turn around and do this does their image no help at all.
I can only presume that they've had a sense of humour failure, even if their managing director claims that they're only doing to them what people have claimed Girls Gone Wild have done in the past. Wow.
As a result, Girls Gone Wine are counter-suing, claiming that their name has been copyrighted and trademarked since February 2007, so it doesn't seem as though the porn company have a leg to stand on.
Just like if they drank some of their rival's product, presumably.
