As spendid and comprehensive an archive of true amateur content as Home Made Videos X, it does actually show you the good and bad side of 'proper' amateur content.

As much as I, and indeed many others, may moan about the true 'amateurism' of amateur content out there, you can actually see why some sites are reluctant to embrace content that is entirely amateur in its nature.

By that, I don't just mean featuring amateur or first-time performers, but actually shot by amateurs too - as you indeed get on this particular site. You can see why they at least want to employ people who know how to use a camera.

Because as naturalistic as this content might be, and bearing in mind that you are in doubt that this is truly amateur content, it is very limited in what it can or cannot do. With it usually only able to employ one camera position, that is.

Nevertheless, if you don't really care about that type of thing (unfortunately, it does annoy the crap out of me after a while) then this about as big and decent an archie of this type of thing as you could ask for.
