PG-13 Porn - A New Art Form?
Having recently had the pleasure of perusing all of the sites on offer in the pioneering ISM network, Beautiful Agony, I Shot Myself and I Feel Myself, it left me wondering if there could be such a thing as non-adult pornography. We all know by its very definition, pornography portrays, and is aimed at, adults and adults only, but the type of content presented on the greater part of these three remarkable sites certainly had me wondering
Beautiful Agony is a particular case in point here. This is a site where all the ‘juicy stuff’ takes place off-camera. The camera is focused wholly on the faces and upper torsos of the performers, concentrated entirely on their reactions. It’s certainly a unique branch of adult entertainment, one which I could see entertaining and infuriating in equal measures.
These sites are certainly a shot in the arm for the amateur porn niche if nothing else. With fans of this genre having been fobbed off for so long with sites that claim to have amateurs on board, until you realise they’re nothing of the sort, the nature of the content on the ISM network leaves you in no doubt about the roots of the action here. All three sites rely entirely on submissions by members of the sites, as long as they meet certain quality guidelines.
But anyone could put together a site and ask people to send in naked and sexual stuff. The reason these sites work is because they actually seem to have a point to each one of them – even if the ‘mission statements’ do somewhat overlap at times on
Beautiful Agony and
I Feel Myself. Those points, coupled with the sites’ pretty strict quality control guidelines, certainly give the sites a look and feel quite unlike any other sites I’ve ever seen. They’re less interested in titillation and more interested in pushing the boundaries of adult entertainment and eroticism. They go quite some way towards doing so as well.
