Jenna Jameson success story

You might have been wondering why it had been such a comparatively long time since I'd written an entry about Jenna Jameson. Well, allow me to change that with reference to this interesting article about her and her success story.
Lots of things have been written about Jenna in the last year or so, as she attempts to distance herself from a direct career in adult entertainment as a performer, and become more of a backseat runner in the industry and also focus on being a mainstream media star.
As I've written, her moves have been met with a mixed reception to say the very least. But should she really worry that much? If, as this article suggests, Club Jenna is as large a commercial and financial success as it could be, then why bother?
Technically, Jenna could take a back seat and just retire. She has no reason to pursue a mainstream media career. She is a clever and intelligent woman who has made her fortune with clever investment and a sound business plan.
But it could be that she's seen just how much of a lovable rogue Ron Jeremy has become to the mainstrean public and media that she wants a piece of that too. The problem is that she's a woman.
As completely wrong as it may be, women are just not going to be thought of from the adult industry in the same way as Jeremy will be. People think of him and they think, "Yeah, good on you, man! You had a lot of women!" When they think of Jenna and her friends, they generally think, "Wow, what a slut."
As horrible as it is, that's the fact of the matter. If I were Jenna, I'd retire. Nobody would think any the less of her for it.
