Jill Kelly - A Poet's Dream

Nice wheels....
The word 'legend' is chucked around far too much these days in a number of different areas and subjects. But I think that Jill Kelly has more than earned being described as such in the adult industry, without a shadow of a doubt in my opinion.
First and foremost, I think Jill Kelly did remarkably well to get as far and as popular as she did within the industry considering she was ostensibly a lesbian performer, albeit with some asides into hardcore.
The fact is that few, VERY few, non-hardcore specialists are afforded legendary or evenhighly acclaimed status within the adult industry. So to have reached such heights just goe sto show just how superb a performer and hard-worker Jill Kelly was.
Yes it's unfortunate that we're now talking about her in the past tense as concerns her career, what with her having been retired since the collapse of her highly acclaimed production company in 2006. One still wonders how that happened at all.
There's no doubting though that she was clearly at her best in lesbian scenes, at least in my eyes. Kelly's performances in the likes of Perfect Pink contrast quite noticeably with some of her hardcore performances, and her girl-girl stuff still stands up as being awesome.
Indeed, probably her best title was Kill Jill, which was shot and released in the year of her retirement, suggesting that she still had a lot to offer as a performer and that indeed she still had some room for improvement judging by this title.
I'm still intrigued by her relationship with Howard Stern though and why they had such a ding-dong battle with each other, seemingly for no reason. It never really did her career any harm, not being endorsed by Stern.
Jill Kelly still has grabbed the status without that endorsement and has probably thoroughly deserved her retirement. Her and her label will be missed.
