Jimi Hendrix Sex Tape

Will they be lining up along the watchtower to see his sex tape?

Inevitably, the vast majority of sex tapes focus on people currently in the spotlight, or those seeking to have their star rise in the eyes in the general public. But in the case of the Jimi Hendrix sex tape, we're presented with something else completely.

Obviously, this is a personality who neither needs the publicity nor is able to respond to the appearance of this alleged sex tape. But just how much money would a sex tape containing Jimi Hendrix potentially make for its distributors?

The distributors in question are Vivid, who have managed to procure several other sex tapes in the past. They are currently embroiled in a court case to prove that the tape is genuine, with the Jimi Hendrix estate seemingly unable to prove that it is a fake as initially claimed.

Would the tape appeal to his fans? Would those who appreciate Hendrix as one of the greatest and most influential rock musicians be interested in seeing him in a sex tape? As a fan of his music myself, I can't say that I would be personally interested.

But, as ever, curiosity will kick in, and that's how Vivid will ultimately make their money from this. It does certainly set an interesting precedent in terms of sex tapes in general. If this one proves to be a financial hit then people will be looking for other old sex tapes.

And if that proves to be the case then nobody could be safe! Either way, regardless of whether this tape is a success or not, it's doubtful that a sex tape is going to affect the career of Jimi Hendrix the rock musician.
