The chap pictured next to the article, John Beyer, whom I am reluctant to name for fear of giving him the oxygen of publicity that he really doesn't deserve, really is a thorn in the side of every free-thinking and sex-loving Brit. You can be guaranteed that if something is about to be aired on TV that features so much as a milimetre of cleavage that this guy will be all over the newspapers claiming that it is tantamount to the end of society as we know it.
Now I know that you have idiots like this over in the USA, guys like Jack Thompson, but he spends most of his time trying to get Grand Theft Auto games banned and by virtue of the fact that I'm currently enjoying playing that series' San Andreas title is testament that he hasn't managed it. We always have people getting on our backs about sex over here, and quite frankly I'm sick and tired of it.
Beyer is currently trying to get a bill passed through Parliament that will essentially criminalise the possession of 'violent porn', the description of which is extremely vague and could concievably cover stuff as generally softcore as spanking if he gets his way. This guy should try checking out some of the things I've seen on my travels. Extreme Holly would give the dude a heart attack.
But hey! Be careful looking at that site if you're in the UK! Because if you do, you could very soon be in BIIIIG trouble!
