Mary Carey Auctions Off Breast Implants

One day all auctions will be like this.

A few weeks ago I wrote an entry suggesting that one way the porn industry could curry some favour with the general public is by dedicating more time and effort into getting involved with charity. Well....

This isn't quite what I had in mind really, but at least it's a step in the right direction! I'm not sure entirely how comfortable I am with porn stars auctioning off things that have been stuffed in their bodies for several years though.

It's a great idea though on her part, I must say, and I'm pretty convinced there would be plenty of takers for these bizarre pieces of collectables. I'm not sure where you could put them. They're not something you can put on the mantlepiece.

It's a shame that she's choosing not to run in any more elections though because politicians really aren't the best-looking lot, are they? Who is the hottest politician that you can think of? Condoleeza Rice?

It's not too good, is it? I just think that hot politicians really are the way to go in an attempt to bring in some voters who might not have been interested in casting their vote in the first place. Politics needs a bit of glamour.

On a serious note, considering the raw deal and reputation that the porn industry gets from politics in general, she could actually have done rather a lot for the industry, but maybe it's not to be. Maybe Ron Jeremy will dip his toe in political waters?
