'Violent' Porn Flick Prompts Apology

Paul Thomas - rather unpopular at Yale now.
I saw a story last week that a fabled porn library that had allegedly been hidden away in a vault in a library at Cambridge University for decades was in fact a collection of fairly gentle Victorian love stories.
That's as close as one of the two major 'Ivy League' universities has gotten to being an embracer of mucky material over in here in the UK. Across the Atlantic, one such university has taken things to a much wider extreme.
For instance, Yale University is currently in the middle of holding its annual 'Sex Week'. Now, whilst most people might summise that being a university student would mean that pretty much every week was a sex week anyway.
But at Yale this year, their week celebrating the beautiful act of lovemaking has run into some controversy after a screening of a sado-masochistic porn movie was met with all-round revulsion by organisers.
Funnily enough, those in the audience didn't seem too perturbed by it, proving that an intelligent mind can accept such material without feeling the need to make show of itself by walking out or making a huge protest.
I have thought it funny though that this guy is a porn director called Paul Thomas and the bloke who directed Boogie Nights, a story about the porn industry, is called Paul Thomas Anderson. Hmm.
