Porn: Over A Third Of All Internet Downloads

I'm sure that we can get that up to 50% by the end of 2008.

This article is quite telling when it comes to porn statistics, I must say.

There are several items on this interesting article that I found particularly interesting and illuminating, I must say. And that's quite an achievement because most porn research tends to be incredibly dull, I must say.

The most interesting one, as far as I'm concerned, is that only 72% of porn consumption is attributed to men. I say 'only' 72% because it's still a large majority nudging towards men of the total porn usage.

But it's that 28% of women that I think porn sites need to focus on a bit more. The almost universal reference to men and males in porn as if we're the only ones who look at porn is something that needs to be addressed immediately.

Also, the fact that the UK only produces 3% of the total market is also something of a disappointing statistic. I think that's quite a shame - I think we produce good quality content over here that is quite different on the whole.

Hopefully sooner rather than later we can close the gap. But what a gap it is!
