A constantly interest source of debate for me with regard to adult sites is the pay-per-view V flat rate deal battle that goes on with regard to DVD download sites, and the merits and demerits of each system.
Speaking personally, I'm a flat rate guy. When many of those particular sites are trading in at under $10 per month these days, I think that's great value for money and is really hardly going to make much of a dent in your bank account, is it?
But in general, the pay-per-view sites tend to offer greater selections of videos. First there was Hot Movies and now there is Yappo, both of whom offer many times the amount of titles that their flat rate rivals do.
And they seem to offer better coverage of studios too. Just check out the list of studios that the latter site covers. It's very rare to see a site that can make a dent on the archive of Hustler, for example.
Why is this? Can they simply afford it more because the pay-per-view system has perhaps transpired to be more popular? Or is it simply a case of coincidence that two PPV sites happen to have the biggest archives around?
It's difficult to tell, I guess, without seeing their respective bank statements!
Also, just a quick adjustment to my review of Yappo. It clearly isn't the biggest adult site in existence, as Hot Movies itself is quite a lot bigger. But that's what happens when you're distracted by watching the world pool championships when you're working!
