Celeb Matrix

This site currently features almost 3000 videos and 2500 photo galleries. The sizes on the photos did vary somewhat but were always of a decent quality, and all contain ZIP file downloads. The videos are usually available to view in Flash, iPod,MPEG and DivX formats to stream and download, displaying at a highest resolution of 720x576 (2000kbps). However, sizes of videos really depended on the clip. The site is updated every day, usually several times per day.

I do like a good celebrity site, I have to say. They do make the hard work of sitting through whole films and TV shows and waiting for any naughty moments no longer necessary! But Celeb Matrix has a lot more going for it than that. Including leaked sex tapes (although who hasn’t seen Paris Hilton doing her thing by now?), scanned magazine shoots, and some pretty reasonable screenshot galleries, this looks to cover the full spectrum of celebrity related naughtiness.

Of course, there are lots of these types of sites around these days so it’s doubtful that any such site would have much, if anything, that was brand new. But that’s why such a huge range of content is pretty important. At the moment, as strange as this may sound, the first half of the alphabet has a lot more content to it as they seem to be working their way through the alphabet adding more content as they go. But still, there is absolutely loads of stuff here nonetheless.

The navigation here, using a familiar template, is very good indeed. The video options were pretty good on the whole with streaming versions being relatively buffer-free and download speeds were also pretty good.

Update information was also excellent, although I think a better index of all the stars that appear on the site would have been immensely helpful, although linked names allow you to get to full lists of other sets or videos the actress appears in too. On the whole though, very good.

Celeb Matrix, on its own terms, is a very large and really rather comprehensive celebrity site that covers film, TV and print extremely well and in great detail. Good to see them cover print based content in such detail as well.

But compared to several other enormous such sites out there, does it cut the mustard? Well, it could perhaps be cheaper compared to some and a couple are far bigger. But this is still a very well put together site.
