With so many movies to choose from, they made sure it was easy to find what you're looking for. The site offers both simple and advanced searches. The advanced search is great, allowing you to look for movies based on studio, director, multiple categories, keywords, and/or payment method (pay-as-you-go, buy DVD, etc).
You can also sort by highest rated, recently added, series, stars, and even high-def videos. The drop-down category sort option is comprehensive, with choices ranging from hair color to body type to characters (firefighters, construction workers, etc).
Once you get your extensive list of videos in a particular category, you can sort by date added, alphabetical, or various download options. There's a premium titles option as well, which cost quite a bit more than the regular pay-per-minute ($1.50 per minute-- fortunately, they do warn you about this before you start sucking up your minutes). What's really nice is that as you hover over a movie title in these sorting options, a picture of the box cover will pop up.
Download options include pay-per-minute streaming video for dial-up and broadband, as well as 1MB streams for folks with faster internet connections. Videos are cut into shorter clips so you can save your pennies. Resolution is at 480x360 (1300K). You can play videos at full screen, but they definitely lose quality. Streaming videos open in a small pop-up window, where you can also buy more time and even add keyword tags to the video.
A nice feature here is that each movie lists every category it's in, so you can easily browse for similar movies in other categories. One issue with the streaming video is that it's not exactly Firefox friendly. There's an option to view the other scenes in the video as you're watching your clip, but it only works in IE.
In addition to the streaming options, you can do a 4-day rental, which typically costs either $3.95 or $6.95. You'll have to pay for this option separately, though.
With so much to choose from, GayHotMovies did a great job with making the navigation and user interface as easy, consistent, and intuitive as possible. Graphics-wise, the site doesn't look that flashy, but the important thing is that the site WORKS and it works well.
What makes the site even easier to use is that all your favorite and your viewing history is stored for easy reference. Videos all show the box descriptions and box cover, along with the studio name and stars, which conveniently link to all movies by that studio or with that star.
Each movie has information on the cast & stars, synopsis, and reviews, as well as multiple download/viewing options. While you're there, you can add videos to your favorites for easy reference.
