GlobeBoyshas somewhere over 200 models, as best as I could tell. All of those models have one photoset each. Many of the movies don't have names in the titles, so it's difficult to tell what percentage of those models have video content along with photo galleries, or just video only.
The photosets on GlobeBoysare presented in easy-to-navigate pages. The sets are divided up into 5 major categories: “spotlight” boys (the cutest ones), white boys, hardcore boys, Asians, and Latino and Filipino boys.
There is also a “movie grabs” section on the photo page, which was odd. I'm not sure if these are the regular movies that are also in the movie section, or if these are bonus clips. Below that is a link to bonus sets from other sites.
Thankfully it's a soft-sell tactic with plenty of free sets to browse. Quality of the photos varies, with a definite amateur feel to all of them.
Photosets run anywhere from 40-50 pics per set, to over 100 pics per set. Clicking on a thumb takes to you a 600x800 pic, though some sets are at 450x600. From there, you can manually navigate forward and back, or choose the slideshow feature for a hands-free (or hands elsewhere) experience.
The strange thing you'll notice while navigating through the sets is that the full-size pics are clickable. Now, normally when the pics are clickable, it takes you to the next photo. But at Globe Boys, clicking on the photo takes you back to the thumbnail page. An annoyance, to say the least.
Videos on GlobeBoysare divided into 3 main categories: Asian movies, white boy movies, and a “quick clips” section featuring short clips from other sources. The movies section is pretty skimpy, with only 20 GlobeBoysvideos and 40 of the “bonus” clips.
I noticed almost all of the Asian movies are only available for full-length download in mpeg format. One of those videos was almost 400 mb, which means you'd better set that download before work in the morning and hope it's done by the time you get home.
In contrast, the white boy videos are almost all cut into easier-to-download WMV clips (anywhere from 2-25 mb per clip). The drawback is that you don't have the option to download the full-length videos if you wanted to. The video resolution is at 350x240, but the quality stays fairly good when you enlarge the screen a bit.
Finally, you have a DVD feeds area from third-party sources. Unfortunately, all of them gave me a page telling me that I wasn't authorized to view their content. I double-checked my settings, cookies, security, but nothing.
One thing that stood out about GlobeBoyswas the sense that the site owner seems to actually care about the members. You can easily email them with any problems just by clicking on the big “help” button. The landing page has a personal message from the owner, encouraging members to leave feedback and suggestions. It's nice to at least feel that you're not just another credit card.
GlobeBoysis pretty clean. No absurd flash animation or other useless “features” here. Ads are kept to a fair minimum, so you're not bombarded with crappy third-party content. The navigation wasn't the worst I've seen, but it has some blaring problems that made the visit a pain.
First, there's no model index, so unless you want to sift through every single photo and video, it's hard to tell if a guy you like has more content. There's no search engine to fill that gap, either. Many of the video titles don't have the model names in them. And none of the sets or videos are alphabetized. Basically, it's a chore to find out more about the models.
The issues with photo navigation may seem small, but they can get pretty annoying if you surf the site enough. It also would have been nice to have update dates listing along with the sets and videos.
I also had a couple of issues with site speed. Pictures were slow to load, and the site got hung up and timed out a couple of times.
GlobeBoyswill definitely appeal to twinks fans. These boys are very boyish, hairless, and mostly uncut. The hardcore is pretty decent, as is the solo masturbation stuff.
Overall, there wasn't anything outstanding about the site. The cumulative navigation issues could be a huge turn-off to people who are used to more user-friendly sites.
I also distinctly noticed that GlobeBoysdoesn't give the models any personality - no model home pages, no names for many of them . . . there wasn't anything that stood out about the content or the boys. Lackluster, overall.
