Harris Archives currently features around 500 photo galleries, and 5 videos as well. All photos are available in three different sizes – 800x600, 1200x800 or 2000x1333. Galleries can also be downloaded in a ZIP file too, with the images featuring in the latter size.
Videos are available in WMV format only, with the amount of browsing options varying depending on the particular video. Galleries are added on a daily basis.
Harris Archives makes some very confident boasts on its splash page about Harris’s sites being internet pioneers in terms of the types of content they include. Certainly, Harris has more experience behind him than any of his peers that I’ve come across, but is his material as good as his peers? I think that it is.
What Harris does that many of the other high class nude sites don’t is that he selects a wide variety of different girls rather than just blonde and porcelain European models. Take Elaina for instance. I can’t remember many sites of this type featuring a punky, short pink-haired beauty with a lip ring. She was my favourite model here, and she is shot quite wonderfully by Harris over the course of 11 galleries in the July 2004 section.
Yet very soon he is photographing busty, curvy blondes that are bordering on BBW territory. What Harris appears to do is want to challenge himself on a consistent basis by photographing different types of girls.
This creates a great range of girls and galleries that ultimately benefits his audience too. He stands up to the challenge well with some inventive and innovative shoots such as Chrome Bars and War Paint from August 2004.
The subject matter of these shoots very much reminded me of the type of artistic use of beauty that you used to see in the Pirelli calendars before they became too obsessed with being too arty, and forgot about the beauty of the supermodels that starred in them.
A particular treat on offer here in the otherwise disappointingly sparse video section is the inclusion of Aerobicise, which is cited as being the world’s biggest selling exercise and aerobics video, despite being 25 years old.
It’s not difficult to see why it could be, because it is quite marvellous and erotic. Although the videos are sparse in number, they offer a fascinating insight into Harris's work and talent. |
