At the time of this review, there were 138 movies available to members. The movies run about 10 minutes each and can be streamed or downloaded in the WMV and MOV formats. The WMV movies play at the best resolution of 720x480 pixels @ 1450 Kbps, and the MOV movies play at 720x480 pixels @ 1200 Kbps.
You can view the movies in smaller clips or the whole thing in one very large file. There is no DRM protection on the movies here. The quality of the movies is what you would expect it to be, low quality productions that can be fuzzy and poorly lit at times. But, this was the time before high definition and glossy studio budgets, with most of these movies being made on a shoestring.
There are also 138 picture galleries which contain screenshots of the movies. These pictures are not the best quality, and some of them are really fuzzy and out of focus, and they have a resolution of 450x427 pixels. These picture galleries can be downloaded in a convenient zip file.
This site has some really good examples of vintage gay porn. Classic movies such as The Nasty Bunch, Red Ball Express, Sex Down South and Harley's Angels can be found here along with some of the top names in gay porn. User Interface
Hot Gay Classics has a simple interface that most members will be comfortable with. You can easily scroll through the content and there is even a search feature. You can also search the site by actor, director and particular niches.
The response and download of this site is pretty good, with very little glitches in the playback of the streaming movies. The only problem I have with the interface of the site, is the fact that not all of the content is dated. The site says that new updates are added twice a week, but I have no way to confirm that fact.
Conclusion
For those of you who are looking for high budget productions featuring well groomed men, then you are going to be a tad disappointed. These classic movies are average quality at best, and you can be assured there is not a drop of high definition to be found here.
