International Comix may call itself such but it might have been more accurate if it had called itself European Comix because that’s really what it is. All of the content here is from several European countries – the UK, Holland, France, Spain, Russia, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Greece. It is very interesting, as someone who is only really terribly familiar with Japanese and American adult animation, to see how the styles are so obviously different between the countries.
Some of the content sees artists very clearly trying to ape the Japanese style – others are rather more offbeat and original with what they are trying to do, and the site succeeds in bringing you a very broad variety of different genres of cartoons. It’s just a shame that it hamstrings itself with such a disappointing navigation – but more of that shortly. It’s difficult to know how many bonuses you get, but I’d say you get at least 2 bonus sites.
The fact that all the galleries and strips are only presented in text links is a really lazy effort even if they do bother to split all the content into their country of origin. Text links only, though?! Not great!
Some write-ups of the galleries and scenes would have been nice as well, plus the main members’ index page really is very poorly designed and described and needs to be completely redone. It has to be said that it is a pretty poor effort, by and large.
International Comix is an interesting site and I really do fully support any site that looks to promote and push animated porn from countries other than Japan and the USA – and there is plenty of quality to enjoy here.
However, when the site cannot really manage to piece together a user interface that will allow a basic enjoyment of this content, you could have the best content EVER and it wouldn’t matter – it makes the site almost unusable at times.
