MikeyAndMandy currently contains around 200 video sets and around 300 photo and image galleries. It also features dozens of stories and articles. The photos vary in size from gallery to gallery.
The videos are available in an assortment of different formats including DivX, WMV, MPEG, RealPlayer and Quicktime. Check the individual video before you play it. The site is updated 5 or 6 times a week.
It would be easy to dismiss MikeyAndMandy and their ‘Most Original Porn Emporium’ as a scattergun attempt at satisfying as many tastes as possible, mainly because of the amount of ground it covers. But I didn’t get that feeling at all.
The site is an intelligent yet fun look at the adult industry that embraces nothing as being ‘weird’ and treating every niche and genre equally. It doesn’t get TOO analytical though, and throws in some marvellous content – whether licensed from high quality sources such as Suicide Girls or Abby Winters, or exclusively shot – to provide a great mixture.
The articles themselves are a splendid mixture of amusing anecdotes from the porn industry, to straightforward musings on the directions the industry seem to be taking. They are extremely well written, and far from being the amateurish scribbling that solo performers usually stick in a hastily assembled blog. They do provide an entertaining aside that are indeed so well written that they could attract subscribers on their own.
The pictorial and video content though is excellent. I don’t think it’s unfair to say that it has a bias towards fringe genres such as goth, vintage, shemales and BDSM, but there is plenty of glamour on show here for those of you who like their girls immaculately sculpted in a Playboy style.
It is a great selection of content, I must say, and it is the selection of two people who genuinely seem to know what they are doing and talking about. |

MikeyandMandy is a site whose navigation suffers because of its sheer size and depth. As a result, finding individual links can take a while.
That’s not to say the actual content isn’t well organised because it certainly is, and the presentation throughout has a haphazard but coherent style to it.
The download speeds are good enough on the whole not to cause you a tantrum, and all in all this was certainly better presented than I expected. |

MikeyandMandy is exactly the type of site that I would like to see more of – one that sees pornography as capable of being fun AND serious. Embracing the industry as a whole, the site proceeds to cover all manner of issues and niches quite superbly with barely a wrong step taken.
MikeyandMandy content itself, is intelligently chosen (and there’s a lot of it too) from a wide variety of sources, and the whole thing is a thoroughly enjoyable venture. I’d only like to see a chance for members and readers to interact and participate in it. It’s certainly original, and it’s certainly superb too. |
