MovieMonster is a huge movie and DVD download site that, working with a pay-per-view system, ensures that you only pay for what you watch, and that you can watch as little or as much as you want to!
So splash out on as many or view credits as you want and start browsing through as many DVD titles as you want. You may be here a while because there is a hell of a lot to choose from!
MovieMonster currently claims to house around 50,000 DVDs. The videos are available in WMV and RealMedia format, and usually display at 720x480 (2000kbps). There was no update information made available, and all titles here play under DRM restriction.
Sites like MovieMonster have a big advantage over us lowly reviewers when it comes to the amount of content they have available. They have so much that we can’t possibly count if how much they say they have on offer is actually right!
Either way, whether a boast of 50,000 is or is not a little fanciful, there’s no doubting that an enormous array of DVD titles are available here and that if you can’t find something here to enjoy then you really are impossible to please!
Although the costs can stack up a fair bit on sites like MovieMonster, the advantages of not having to worry about recurring costs mean that you can spend as much or as little as you want, even if the DRM is a bit of a bugbear at the end of the day.
Also, with categories of content entitled ‘amputee’, ‘Asian unmosaic’ and ‘pedal pumping’, amongst other things, you can see for yourself that variety is very much a major spice of MovieMonster.
I wasn’t overly delighted with the presentation on
MovieMonster but I suppose it was alright.
The browsing options were really good and although it had most of the basic features that you would want from a video download site, they were a bit slipshod in places.
The download speeds were rather good though, and you can at least browse the action for stars, studios, genres and titles. I would have liked to see some dates with regard to new additions to the site too.
MovieMonster doesn’t really, on paper, look a whole lot different from many other such large video download sites out there. But with a really enormous archive of titles, it does do something different.
The costs can stack up here but MovieMonster is easy to use, covers more categories than other sites of its type, and should have something for everyone – even if you like naked wrestling!
