MovieRoom currently features around 700 individual DVDs (around 3300 scenes) but no photo galleries that I could see.
The main format that videos are available in is WMV, and this contains the highest quality videos (640x480, 2000kbps), but there are also mp4 and Flash in-browser versions from which to download. The site updates almost daily.
MovieRoom made it clear to me from the outset that they were eager not to be lumped in with similar DVD download sites. By focusing on individual titles and giving them ‘scene of the day’ exposure, it strives to be a site that doesn’t just throw a new title online every day and leave the members to it.
It actually wants to help you make an informed decision in what DVDs to watch, knowing that no-one would have the time to browse through everything this site has to offer.
The selection of DVDs is large and obviously / inevitably covers a hell of a lot of quality along the way. So what about its other features? Well, the niches are all reasonably well covered with some great categories – nice to see a ‘coeds’ category, as that tends to be a more defined niche than just ‘teen’.
There is also an extensive database of pornstars as well, as they not only look to cover niches and titles, but also as big a range of stars as they possibly can. |

The navigation is really where MovieRoom distinguishes itself from almost every other site of this type around. It is just about perfect in almost every way.
For a start, the download speeds were very reasonable considering the file sizes on view occasionally. The categorisation of the DVDs is as good as you could ask for too, with a great index of pornstars.
But there are other features available too. The descriptions of the individual scenes are a great help in helping you decide what scenes and DVDs you might want to watch.
Such dedication really must take such a long time on their part, but the hard work is well worth it. Also, the listing of niches and stars in every scenes is also a priceless commodity. |

It isn’t so much the content that allows MovieRoom to stand out and become a site that is well worth subscribing to. You would rightly expect a large selection of high quality DVDs.
It’s the presentation of them and the care and attention that the site has shown in making life as easy for you as it possibly can that allows MovieRoom to embarrass almost all of its peers. This really is the one to watch. |
