Most people who know and/or enjoy the work of Austin Kincaid are probably under the impression, like I was, that she's a relatively recent success story. But you might be surprised to hear that this isn't the case. In fact, she made her very first adult film appearance a good 4 years before she really started to come to prominence as a performer back in 2001 when she appeared in the first two episodes of the Lesbian Anal Club series.

It's odd then that she claimed in an interview last year that her first porn shoot was actually with Naughty  America. These movies weren't shot or produced by Naughty America. Odder still, in an interview she gave just a couple of months ago, she claimed that she had yet to perform any anal content in her career. It's possible that she could mean straight anal content, but one wonders why she made such claims despite obvious evidence to the contrary.

Then again, having shot those early movies under her first moniker of Veronika Knight, maybe they are something that she would like to leave in the past as she has rarely made even the slightest subtle mention of them in any other interviews either.

There is no doubting though, putting aside all queries about the true origins of her career as a pornstar, that she has achieved 99% of her success and notice as Austin Kincaid, her most recent (and most misspelled) screen name. Starting her working life as a waitress, a move into dancing saw her take what many would regard as a natural route into pornography. Her naturally large breasts and curvaceous figure would make it seem pretty obvious where she would find much of her success, so she largely ditched lesbian content for hardcore big-tit movies for the most part.

It's quite easy to dismiss the looks and figure of a performer such as Austin Kincaid. After all, the natural all-American good looks and big boobs are what most people would term as being the archetypal 'porn look', but she clearly has something about her that makes her stand out from the crowd. How else would she, by her own admission, have snagged roles in a teen movie and a MILF movie to be shot in exactly the same week?

Claiming that this may have been down to a lack of over-35 performers in the industry, which is difficult to argue against, she's probably doing herself a disservice as she does have the type of rare features that would allow her to star in both genres comfortably. But it's mostly been in the MILF genre that she has found the majority of her success out of these two age categories and the name Austin Kincaid has become synonymous with the MILF genre in the last couple of years or so - and all this despite the fact that she's only 28 at the time of writing.

Most of her success in this category has been achieved through appearances for companies that have made the majority of their success through the internet. Consistent appearances for Bang Bros, Naughty America and Brazzers saw her become one of the most popular pornstars on the internet. Soon she started to become noticed by the very top mainstream labels and companies around and she soon started to become in-demand for the industry's top movie titles.

But this was not before a wonderful 2006 for her - a year where films she appeared in garnered her no less than 4 nominations at the 2007 AVN Awards. Although she didn't win any awards, it was still an exceptional haul of nominations for a performer who had received none in previous years. Her name was duly noted and before 2007 was out she had appeared in two of the year's biggest selling and most acclaimed titles - Operation Desert Stormy and Pirates.

The launch of her official website wasn't far round the corner either and was launched under the Fantasy Girl label which saw the name of Austin Kincaid sharing a label with stars such as Carmella Bing, Puma Swede and Catalina Cruz. However, in recent months there have some worries raised, not just about her career, but also about her personal life. An apologetic and slightly cryptic entry on her unusually frank and well-written diary back in February suggested she was having some personal problems.

Although she seemed upbeat about upcoming work, there have been no further entries since then and updates have slowed somewhat on Club Austin Kincaid. Rumours gathered pace that she was the latest pornstar to undergo a religious conversion but there has been no solid evidence of this at all. Whatever the problems she was having in her life are problems that many, many fans hope she has, or will, overcome. A huge career is just taking shape and it will be great to see it fully take flight.
