When Bree Olson was fired on her first day as a nanny by the Kardashian family in an episode of their largely dull reality TV series when they found out she was a pornstar, many within the industry regarded this mainstream appearance as a huge potential career boost for one of the industry's brightest potential stars. In reality, if you asked any of her legion of fans, they would tell you that her career did not need any such boost as she was well on the way to becoming one of porn's biggest stars anyway.

The porn industry is nothing like the mainstream movie industry in terms of being labelled as prolific. In mainstream cinema, you're prolific as an actor or actress if you appear in more than one film a year. In porn circles, that figure is likely to be nearer 50. So if you take the fact that Bree Olson appeared in an estimated 102 movies in her first 12 months in the industry, just how prolific does that make her? It makes her in many people's eyes the hardest working performer in porn right now.

Her career began in the middle of 2006 after several months posting her pictures on amateur websites and signing with a modelling agency. Initially, she was only interested in being in the industry for several months for the experience, but she found herself extremely enamoured by the experience of being in porn and decided to stick around as a performer. That decision would be rewarded very quickly, especially coupled with a turn away from solo and lesbian content to more hardcore content.

In September 2007, Bree Olson was signed to an initial 12 picture and one year deal with Adam & Eve that would see her earmarked for appearances in some of their biggest upcoming movies. Most remarkable of all, several of them would feature her name in the title. Not bad for a girl who tried out porn for a laugh at the beginning. What started as a shot at something different though had now become a very profitable and successful career.

By the end of 2007, she was announced by one industry resources as amongst the top 20 stars of the year. She'd also clocked up appearances in half a dozen Hustler movies. She'd also caught the eye of Howard Stern and had soon clocked up a couple of appearances on his show, always an endorsement of a star's standing within the industry when the world's most notorious DJ invites you on his show. The appearances proved her to be a well spoken and quite shy person outside of her movies, becoming tearful when Stern asked about her family's background and its history in relation to the Holocaust.

She had become something of a specialist within the anal genre by this time, although by no means exclusive to it. Along the way, she also discovered her abilities with female ejaculation, and also experimented with the Goth genre with a performance highly praised in the movie Fetish Ball 2. It's always handy to be proficient in more than one genre, and that's exactly what she had proved along the way.

However, it was an appearance with Brandon Iron in Big Wet Asses 10 that provided her with first major industry award at the 2008 AVN Awards, and Bree Olson was recognised further and in even greater fashion when she bagged the prestigious Best New Starlet award for the year. It would prove to be the beginning of what was to be a wonderful first few months of the year for Bree as she named Penthouse Pet Of The Month for March 2008.

And 2008 continues to be a wonderful year for Bree Olson too, starring in her own Interactive Sex title, a series that's usually only given over to seasoned porn veterans. Having said that, it's easy to think that she is a veteran having done so many movies so quickly. But considering the fact that she won't turn 21 until October this year, it is frightening in a way to think about what she could achieve in the next several years.

Whatever she achieves, most of her fans will hope that she retains the same self-effacing and slightly shy nature that add to her lovely features and figure and make her one of the most sought after stars of the new millennium.
