Back in 2005, it was reported in a piece about Sandra Shine that she was earning $800 a movie or DVD scene. For a non-hardcore star, that was considered a remarkable sum of money. It was also revealed in the same piece that in the same year she had been booked for over 50 jobs over the course of eight months or so, all of them girl-girl – something that was almost unheard of at that time, especially for a performer who was commuting from Europe to work in America.

 

That many of these jobs were booked off the back of one promo photo that she had sent out speaks volumes for the instant beauty that Sandra Shine possesses. It’s not a beauty you have to look for or that you have to figure out. With some girls you have to look at them for a while before you understand that they have something. With Sandra Shine it hits you immediately and presumably it hit all of those who cast her as well.

 

Prior to this, her career started in much the same way that many of her fellow Hungarian adult stars saw their careers start. Working as a fashion model from the age of 15, she grew frustrated with the revenue she was generating and instead made the transition to nude and adult modelling, accepting solo girl shoots at the beginning only. By 2001, she was accepting numerous girl-girl shoots and had adopted the name Judith Devine for her on-screen persona.

 

She had fully intended to follow a career outside of the adult industry, particularly so when she majored in business from college. But at the same time her popularity as an adult star continued to grow and she realised the potential career she could have when she was named as Penthouse Pet Of The Month for February 2001. She continued to stick to her guns as a softcore performer only, but had now developed into something of a specialist in the girl-girl / lesbian niches.

 

Nonetheless, the one or two heterosexual scenes she had shot, in her early days as a performer, became much sought after and still are. In reality, they’re nothing to be ashamed of. Unlike most adult performers who chose a largely softcore career who performed hardcore content as a stepping stone into the industry that they’d rather forget, her performances were in a softcore made-for-television ‘erotic thriller’ and on a photo shoot where she became carried away in a scene with her boyfriend. Hardly the stuff of embarrassment.

 

She changed her name to Sandra Shine sometime in 2002, with her Christian name being adopted from an old girlfriend of hers that she had met during one of her earlier shoots. In the summer of 2003 she became one of the few adult stars to be named as Penthouse Pet Of The Month when she won the award in August of that year, this time under her newer Sandra Shine moniker. She was no thoroughly established as a performer with her lack of hardcore appearances no longer seemingly counting against her.

 

To the surprise of some, it seems as though Sandra Shine has resisted the temptation to sign an exclusive contract, although with the bulk of her movies having being shot for Viv Thomas, many regarded at as being a contract in everything but there actually being a contract. At the same time, having shot lesbian scenes with the likes of Sophie Moone, Sandy, Anetta Keys and Eve Angel she has become an integral part of the ‘Hungarian Invasion’ as it has been termed in some circles.

 

These days she’s more concentrative on her own websites – not just her official site, but also two other sites that she runs, namely Sandra’s Models (basically a talent agency for upcoming European talent) and Cruising Girls (a site for her an many of her friends to perform on). As such, she has become slightly less active in the last couple of years outside of her own websites in terms of shooting movies and galleries, but her site houses many exclusively shot pieces you wouldn’t see anywhere else.

 

One suspects that this particular model will continue to shine for quite some time yet with a definite potential for supernova.
