Images vary slightly in sizes – generally they weigh in at between 530-580 pixels by 768, but sometimes expand to 1024x768. Either way, they do the job, with picture galleries also available to download in a VERY fast moving ZIP file. Videos are slightly less impressive technically, looking pretty blurry at even 360x240, so forget about doubling that up if you want to watch these, and are MPEG only.
Indeed, many of the videos on the actual Shocking Girls portal are pretty disappointing and can only really be regarded as trailers with many weighing in at around 20 seconds long. The external videos are infinitely more impressive and lengthier, also working as MPEGs.
That’s not to say the video content is disappointing, because it isn’t actually that bad. But Shocking Girls is far stronger in its pictorial element. It’s difficult for any teen site to stand out these days because the market is so saturated, but although this site isn’t good enough to stand out, the material is more than good enough to mark it out as good competition for others in the market. A good range of teen stuff is available here although it excels in letting the girls pose for themselves with some of the hardcore stuff occasionally being a little tame.
