This site features 583 videos in total, but there are no photo galleries on this site. All videos are available to view in Flash Player and MP4 formats for streaming and downloading, with 720x480 generally being the highest quality versions available to view here. There was no update information on this site.
Social networking is very much the dominant force in internet bonding at the moment, and VaVoom is attempting to tap into that market in more pornographic circles, but has come up with a strange site that seems to be trying to touch most bases. So, it has elements of dating and social networking sites to start off with.
Then it kind of touches YouTube-esque bases by getting its members to upload their own videos, if they wish. And then it is sort of a video download site as they provide you with a bunch of licenced titles to enjoy.
It is a strange amalgam, and no mistake. It also seems like a very new site - there aren’t many members uploading videos as yet, and not much interaction over the whole of the community as a result.
This could easily come with time but I think this is the side of the site that needs to be pushed as it is the community areas that are the more unique opportunities here - the video collection should really only be there as a bonus and nothing more. The video collection, by the way, is superb.
User Interface
The navigation on this site will need to improve as the site grows. While the individual sections are well separated and easy to jump between, the actual organisation of them does need to be looked at as there could have been more details on the whole.
There is no update information either but other features lacking include a lack of any descriptions on the majority of the videos, no models’ section and a bare minimum of categorisation for the videos. Lots needed to be improved here.
Conclusion
VaVoom is a really interesting idea that I would certainly like to see succeed. Save for a couple of big forums and message boards out there, there doesn’t seem to be that many actually really good communities for porn consumers out there, so I hope it works.
It’s very early days for the site so far as it is still new and quite obviously in need of a lot more members to get the community feeling as though it is jumping. But that video collection is a nice tempter for you to check out in the meantime.
