VintageTaboo currently features around 260 videos, and many image galleries, too numerous to count (there are around 15,000 individual images though), with most photos displaying at around 630x700.
The videos download in Quicktime format only, and these display at a variety of sizes. The site is updated five times per week.
One year on from our first review of Vintage Taboo, a very rare genuine look into proper vintage porn (which to most sites means going back to the 1970s, but here means going back as much as 100 years), and this is a site that has made splendid advances in that time.
A significant increase in content on both the video and photo galleries front as well as the addition of a trial option, and a slight reduction of the monthly fee has meant that it has been a good year for the site.
The coverage of the site is just as thrilling as ever. Going back to the first decade of the last century and accessing video footage that is very rarely seen, the site successfully treads the line between historical intrigue and actual erotica, especially as the footage gets a little clearer.
Inevitably, stars like Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe are the highlights here, but the action from the post-Hays Code days when such smut was supposed to be impossible to see is a delight. |

The navigation on VintageTaboo continues to be impressive and pretty easy to use on the whole, and one major improvement has been the addition of thumbnails to most photo galleries.
Otherwise, aside from a lack of browsing options on the videos things are pretty much as good as they used to be with some marvellous categorisations of all of the content as well, and when you consider the extent of such categorisation, you’ll understand why this is so impressive. |

Vintage Taboo continues to be a fantastic project that mines the immense archive of vintage and unseen pornography that is out there to extremely impressive and entertaining effect.
Considering this is one of the few such sites that is around out there it makes it all the more important that this would be a good site, and it really is – and it gets a lot better by the month too.
