There are currently somewhere in the region of around 1500 contacts registered on the site at the moment. At the time of day I logged on at, which was around 3pm British time, there were approximately 60 online. I would expect this figure to be greater during the American daytime.
There were, in total, about 1200 videos and about 1000 photo galleries. The photos themselves ranged in size quite a lot. The videos were available in WMV format to download or stream and mostly played at 420x236 (700kbps). Updates are extremely regular.
In the normal run of things on live cam sites such as VIP Cams, you do get the odd recorded show and photo gallery, but these are usually only as bonuses and there aren’t usually that many of them.
This site makes full use of its archives and actually makes past shows and galleries an integral part of the site, essentially giving you two sites in one. I think though that it should be clearer what you get with your monthly subscription as I’m not sure it’s made entirely clear enough during the site’s free tour.
These archives a great idea and while the quality isn’t always that great, as is the case on any live cam site, I think there is enough here to be interesting as a site on its own. The added bonus being of course that if you spot someone you like, you can try and catch her in a live show.
The only issue with that is that some of the live performers are far too expensive, but some of them are altogether more reasonable. Still, it’s an intriguing mixture that makes a lot of sense and works rather well.
User Interface
On the live half of the site, I thought the live cams and videos streamed superbly well and I had no problems with videos freezing or anything of that kind, with them all running really quickly.
There probably needs to be a much better organisation and genre positioning of the models and performers though as there really isn’t anything of that kind. There wasn’t that much organisation of the videos and galleries either, for that matter, but they weren‘t terribly problematic either.
Conclusion
VIP Cams is a really good idea for a site, and it’s the first time that I’ve seen a live cam site make full use of old archive video and photo footage and incorporate it fully into the site in a way that makes its live cam feature altogether more attractive to look at.
This doesn’t solve the problem of the fact that some performers are allowed to hike their prices up to ridiculous levels. Yes, it’s easy to avoid these performers, but it doesn’t help the lower priced performers that much. A great idea though and reasonably well executed.
