Wasteland currently has around 750,000 photos in total and around 200 videos too, with photos displaying at a variety of sizes.
The videos are usually available to view in WMV, Quicktime and RealMedia formats, displaying at various resolutions. Currently all of the "Wasteland Original Movies" videos are being rendered at 640x480 or if in HD widescreen 640x360. They also have videos in HD that are 1280x480. The site is updated daily.
It’s not often that you get to review a site that is so old that you were barely aware of the internet when it was first formed. Wasteland is such a site, formed back in 1995, and what they haven’t covered on their site when it comes to BDSM and bondage content, isn’t really worth knowing.
They are a pretty big organisation and outfit now when all things are considered and the sheer range of content impressed me far more than their admittedly large collection of content.
It’s funny though that Wasteland, despite being probably the most comprehensive site in this genre that you will find, still remains something of an unknown quantity to some people.
The quality of the content is largely excellent although some might not be particularly enamoured with the amount of content shot at parties or indeed the amount of general content that isn’t really ‘adult’.
But the experimentation and scope of their vision is undeniable and this is genuine BDSM content by people who know exactly what they are doing – always the most important point when it comes to content like this. |

The presentation of Wasteland was very simple. They did this on purpose to make Wasteland accessible to everybody.
They used to have a java based navigation system and a flash interface but too many problems from too many users had them simplify this. I personally commend this decision.
The use of text links leaves the site looking far more drab than it actually is. The categorisation is certainly decent enough though and you do get a really good selection of browsing options. |

Wasteland is certainly approaching being untouchable as regards the quality, breadth, and sheer scope of its content.
This site knows exactly what it is trying to do and it has been doing it for well over a decade.
