XXX Rewind

There are 431 DVD movies at the moment, and there are 109 photo galleries here. The videos usually display at a best of 640x480 at 2000kbps in WMV, iPod, MPEG and DivX format. The update schedule is not at all clear here.

The porn movie industry, as we know it today, is still extremely youthful when you compare it to other media, so it’s hardly surprising that there aren’t that many retro sites out there. XXXRewind is the newest though and, unlike most of its counterparts, opts for the style of a DVD site and also manages to maintain a very decent sense of humour as it pokes fun at the hair (pubic and scalp-based), moustaches and general bad fashion of the era.

From the makers of the enormous Porn.com, you would no doubt expect that there would be a huge archive of videos at their disposal for future addition. But already the collection is very sizable although it is almost completely lop-sided in the favour of hardcore action.

There is some outstanding content here, I must say though, and it was refreshing to see them not totally go down the route of picking the usual Deep Throat and Debbie Does Dallas titles.

The site has a pretty good navigation that was generally simple to get around. The videos are easy enough to browse around thanks to some good drop-down indexes and a fantastic array of keywords to find what you’re looking for.

Update information was reasonably good and there were just about enough browsing options here, but I could have done with slightly more information about the videos and the picturesets themselves. The video download speeds were rather good though.

XXX Rewind is bigger than most sites in this network by quite some distance but unfortunately does not come with the massive network access that you usually get with it.

Also, the quality of some of the movies is poor indeed as they have originally come off VHS cassettes in most case. But if you’re a fan of older videos then you‘ll expect this and shouldn’t be too put off.
