Not only that, but you can interact with other fans and share your own pictures and videos as well as sharing in your respective geekery! This is the sexy side of nerd-dom!
This site features 804 image galleries and 24 videos along with various other relevant types of content too. Photo sizes tend to vary a fair bit from gallery to gallery from what I saw of the site. All of the videos are available in Flash format to stream only and will play at a best of 1280x720. We are told that the site updates site twice a week, and introduce new models twice a month, with plenty of model-posted content going up daily in their members forum.
Cosplay is something that keeps threatening to really break into the mainstream in a big way, but remains more or less on the outskirts of culture. And I think that’s a good thing as I think it is certainly a movement that would be mauled by too much popularist exposure. Cosplay Deviants is a site that thoroughly embraces how nerdy it all is with a fairly self-depreciating humour and thorough understanding of how geeky it all is. Many of the characters portrayed by the girls (and guys!) here are ones that I have no clue about, not being a comic book fan and being a lapsed anime follower, but it appeals to me on the level of enjoying seeing pretty girls dressed up in kinky costumes. Quite simple, really!
Clearly, though, the site needs to work on its video side because there is great potential on that front that they are not fulfilling. Great to see an actual adult entertainment community that is thriving, too. There is a very strong emphasis on the community portion of the site where members can meet and interact, not only with one another but with the models as well. There ia an active forum, HD webcam chat room and annual events for members. This is like a real community.
The navigation here was quite good even if there really were not enough video and photo viewing options for you to take advantage of. The categorisation of the content here was very good indeed as well, and the details about the different characters portrayed proved to be very helpful. The update information was non-existent, however, and it is actually pretty difficult to know what has recently been added to the site.
Bearing in mind that it clocks in at just under $10 to join, it would be madness for anyone who is interested in cosplay not to at least take a long look at Cosplay Deviants.
It really is a very good site with a well maintained and interactive community and a genuinely sexy (and occasionally hardcore!) selection of galleries and videos. Colour me impressed.
