There are 2263 videos on this site. Videos are available in WMV format for the most part, and they display at 640×480 (1000kbps) in their highest quality, but are available in two different speeds. Updates are made weekly on the whole.
Pornstar Classics is your proof that some things never change. The titles are still occasionally inspired / awful (depending on how you look at them) ‘ Hanna Does Her Sisters, On Golden Blonde and the particularly brilliant Terms Of Endowment will particularly stand out if you love your 80s mainstream cinema.
And a franchise is never allowed to die ‘ just look at the amount of sequels to Deep Throat that are available here. The inclusion of that infamous title in full will undoubtedly be a draw to many people.
As it turns out, it isn’t that great. Comparatively tame by today’s standards, it’s worth a look for intrigue’s sake, but it’s far from the best thing here. The Ginger Lynn titles though may well be, especially The Pleasure Hunt and its even better sequel.
She was a performer of quite enormous talent who always straddled the fine line between innocent and slutty with no effort at all, and ALWAYS looked incredibly. The John Holmes titles will also turn some heads, undoubtedly, but his lack of charisma makes you wonder how he lasted for so long in the industry.
What I particularly enjoyed bout the titles here was seeing how much effort they seemingly put into at least trying to make the film look professional. Very few mainstream porn directors bother these days, it seems, but these guys seemed to think they were making films that could trouble the Oscars. The photo galleries here, by the way, don’t amount to much but the excellent library of movie titles has to be the main draw.

User Interface
This site has a reasonable navigation that works fine but could do with a couple of additions. A list of the stars featured on their own would be a nice feature, for a start. The photos are reasonably sized though and in good condition despite their age. The download speeds are not too bad though although the video and photo quality can occasionally be a bit dodgy as some of the shoots are understandably quite old.
Conclusion
Pornstar Classics is a must site for retro porn fans and indeed for fans of retro cinema full stop. With an army of the biggest talents from that time and a very impressive (and growing) library of titles, this will only get better.
Pornstar Classics shouldn’t just be regarded patronizingly as a retro curio though for us to point at and go, ‘Aww, look at how they used to do it back then, how sweet!’ Most of these girls and boys could out-perform pretty much all of the biggest names around now.
