Review
There are currently 665 videos available to members. The videos can be streamed or downloaded in the MP4 format with a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels @ 9000 Kbps. Lower resolutions are also available. Older movies may also display at lower resolutions.
There are also 700 picture galleries available. Each gallery contains approximately 40 pictures and they play at a resolution of approximately 650×488. The pictures can be viewed online plus there are zip downloads available.
Though the movies are technically high definition, I was a little disappointed by their quality. They had a very amateur feel to them, which is usually a good thing, but the movie clarity was a bit too grainy for my taste. I felt that these “high definition” movies seemed more like the average movies that can be seen on similar sites.
The action in the movies was fairly decent however, and all the movies were exclusive to the site. While some of the sex scenes were less then enthusiastic, most of the movies did a good job of showcasing these guys sexual prowress. There is plenty of oral sex and quite a few scenes that contain some really good anal action. Just to round things out, this site also has tossed in some solo masturbation action.
The last thing that I want to mention about the content is that it is pretty unique. They use real Japanese twinks on the site and all of the movies are actually shot in Japan. It adds a sense of realism to the videos that you just don’t see a lot of these days.
Members also get access to a number of bonus sites which include Gay Asian Amateurs, Boykakke, Gay Asian Anime, Asian Boy Feet, SD Boy, Boys From Prague and Harlem Boyz.
User Interface
While the site was fairly easy to navigate, I felt that at times it would be very slow and unresponsive. Sometimes the pages would load slowly, and the downloads would drag to a crawl for no apparent reason.
The site does have a decent search feature, which allows members to search by keyword or niche. Japan Boyz also has a link bar at the top of the page that allows members to get to the content quickly and easily. Members get access to a forum and personals, as well as live cams.
Conclusion
I felt that this site had a few negatives which detracted from my overall experience. The site ran slow at times an the high definition movies were less then impressive. These two flaws is really what brings the quality of the site down. Japan Boys is not without its positives, however.
The twinks on this site are hot and gaunt and the sex scenes were pretty incredible. I also liked the authenticity of the site and the way that Japanese culture and ladmarks were woven into some of the movies. The site also has a healthy collection of videos and pictures that keep growing each and every week.
But I am afraid that all these positives can erase the two negatives that are pulling this site down and keep it from being the awesome site that it should be. But I must admit, some of you may get a kick out of this site. Some of you who want real Japanese gay porn might get a kick of this site, but most people will find it to be just too average.
